Scandinavian Christmas Table 12 Scandinavian Inspired Christmas Table Decor

Every time I wander through Ikea around Christmas time, I am tempted to scoop up all their red and white Christmas decor and turn my house into a Scandinavian wonderland. When I started thinking about my Christmas table this year, I decided it was time to throw out all my old decor and start fresh. A few years back, my best friend gave me a Christmas present in a pretty white tin with a geometric red floral motif along the sides. I love it so much, I store all my cards and stamps in it. I was in the middle of making a thank you note for a friend when I thought it would be a great inspiration for my Christmas table this year.

I decided to use the tin as a base for the centerpiece. Instead of doing one large floral arrangement, I wanted to add a sculptural piece to the table. When I saw the porcelain deer head at Target, I knew it would go great with the Scandinavian red and white theme. I added another red tin I saved from last year to give the deer head a little more height.

When I went to Pier 1 Imports to pick up some napkins, I found these cute glittery red boxes. Filled with peppermint candies, they will make the perfect minty take away for dinner guests. I still wanted a little more red for the table so I took a chance on the dollar bins at target and just happened to find a pack of tissue paper with this awesome printed red pattern.

I was trying to photograph the cute deer pillows at the ends of the table but clearly my frenchie had other plans. He is such an attention hog but he is just too darn cute and he knows it.  I included a list of where I got everything I didn’t already own above but if you want details on other items, just let me know. It was so fun revamping my holiday decor this year, I’m afraid I’ll want to do it every Christmas!

  9. I Loved the way you mixed red and white togeter on your table. But what realy got me to klik on your link when i was looking on craftgawker was the little red sparkling boxes, i think they made your table complete.
Since I am scandinavian I already love a chritmas whit red end white. But if you want to make it even a little bit more scandinavian you should use some green on the table (taken form the nature) like pine tree or an other tree, it doesnt need to be green ;)
