Ever since my failed attempt at nurturing my inner artist in high school, I have long admired talented illustrators and painters. The ability to produce beautiful works of art is certainly a talent that one is born with. Sure, with practice you can become better at anything but natural artistic ability is a gift given to some and not others. Take for example, Gabriella Barouch. Her fanciful illustrations demonstrate an innate understanding of form, perpective, and scale. I just love the soft color palette she used for her 2013 calendar.
