Have I mentioned how much I love fall yet? I. LOVE. FALL. Every year after Christmas, I start counting down the days until next fall. There’s just something about cooler weather, monthly holidays, and permission to live in boots and sweaters.
To me, the changing of seasons is not just a change in temperature, it’s an excuse to change up my decor. Since it’s not realistic to change everything, I mix in a few key items to to add a seasonal touch to my home. When decorating for a holiday or season, I’m a huge fan of using nontraditional color schemes. I love the colors of changing autumn leaves but for inside it’s just a little too obvious for me. I love this soothing but warm combination of blues, cream and brown. Incorporating warmer red-based colors (like the carmel and navy above) into your color palette will insure the room still feels like fall.
