A Sunday Tea Party

Tea Party A Sunday Tea Party

Last weekend my mother hosted a lovely bridal shower for one of our dearest family friends. The bride’s colors are persimmon and latte so my mom decided to go with a tea party theme. She picked up a few things at our local wholesale decor warehouse and set to work creating a charming yet sophisticated tea party. From the delicious mini bunt cakes and scones to the box of hearts inscribed with tips for a strong marriage, the shower was the perfect way to celebrate the bride.

When my mom hosts a party, no stone is left unturned. With a penchant for perfection, she handmade almost all of the party decor including the paper graphics, floral arrangements and door wreath. I just wanted to take a few moments to brag about my talented mother.  It’s easy to see where I got my creative genes from!

I hope you all have something fun planned for this second to last weekend of the summer. It’s my mom’s birthday tomorrow so we’re taking her to the horse races in Del Mar to celebrate! Happy Friday everyone!

This is so lovely! I am having a tea party for my daughter’s friends in a month and would love to incorporate something like those tea pot florals. Thanks for the ideas!!!
