After designing more than 4,000 kitchens in his career, Mick De Giulio is deep in the process of creating the kitchen for House Beautiful’s 2012 Kitchen of the Year. This year’s showcase will take place in New York City’s Rockefeller Center July 16-20th. In a video on the House Beautiful website, De Giulio gives us a few hints about this year’s design, “It’s a pavilion that will be surrounded by french doors. The best kitchens incorporate so much natural light.” After looking through his portfolio, it’s easy to see why he was chosen for this year’s showcase. His projects range from barnyard rustic to sleek upper east side elegance and everything else in between. I can’t wait to see what he comes up with this July!
